Investor Relations Analyst III
Performs literature research, analyzes and summarizes data, and makes presentations on new market and technical areas.
Analyzes competitive environment and landscape. Assists in the preparation, presentation and follow-up of all IR department materials. Gathers, analyzes and summarizes to identify trends/opportunities to assist with the development of strategic directions. Creates compelling and relevant presentations. Oversees efficient management of all competitive research for cross-functional department use and provides analysis or summaries on gathered information as needed. This position contributes to and supports the investor relations and corporate affairs department.
Uses skills with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative and practical ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Conducts market and landscape analysis for key IR competitive areas, works with research areas, scientific development in order to support their needs and support program positioning strategies. Maintains IR and corporate event calendar and provides regular updates to senior management. Provides data and analysis to support IR and other department activities, including research, clinical development, marketing and BD support. Creates slides for IR and cross-functional department presentations. Represents the company with good judgment in external scenarios. Drafts press releases from time to time for department review. Performs scientific and technical literature searches, using highly specialized tools and databases. Manages database ownership for IR department, tracking and making recommendations on database needs to support department and company activities. Implements information retrieval and reference searches for library users and acts as a resource for electronic tools and resources. Distributes relevant articles on current scientific research to appropriate employees, and researches articles based upon cross-functional department requests. Orders and receives business, scientific and technical books, periodicals and government reports as needed. Helps to identify and establish effective and efficient processes for meeting goals and objectives. Collaborates with team members on various projects as needed. Executes analytical projects. Performs other duties as assigned.
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in a business or a related scientific discipline is required. An MBA is preferred. Equivalent experience may be accepted. A minimum of 4 years relevant business experience is required. Experience in the Pharmaceutical or other related industry is preferred. Must have experience performing analysis and planning, analytical techniques, and market assessments. Good project management, analytical, and organizational skills are required. Good computer skills are required, must have excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills. Must be have experience with financial models, financial data retrieval, and planning tools. Strategic management consulting or investment banking experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are required. Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively individually as well as in teams.
