Clinical Education Specialist
The Clinical Education Specialist role requires the building and maintenance of professional relationships with a wide range of clinical investigators, site personnel and the CRO. In the role of Clinical Education Specialist, the employee is primarily responsible for tasks associated with training and use of JPS and NPWT products as required to successfully treat each patient, and secondarily to support the hospital staff as needed to ensure the completeness, accuracy and overall quality of the research data. The employee also ensures the management of adequate site study supplies, and requests replenishment from JPS, its designated distribution center and the NPWT partner company.
Based upon field experience gained in the clinical study, the Clinical Education Specialist will be responsible for transfer of this knowledge to product literature and support materials for commercialization of the JPS X7 Spacer System, and ongoing Clinical Education activities during commercial launch.
The Clinical Education Specialist, assures that site's obligations in use of the company products are being fulfilled as set forth in the study protocol and all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and JPS procedures. This includes attendance at surgical cases, and at antibiotic therapy during the interstage period. The Clinical Education Specialist is responsible for preparing reports for all site visits conducted, providing input, identifying site needs, providing solutions to facilitate the clinical trial process and assisting in ongoing site personnel training. The Clinical Education Specialist's key focus is patient safety and achieving desired studies per protocol, including the identification and escalation of protocol deviations, complaints and reports of adverse events. The Clinical Education Specialist identifies issues at clinical study sites and initiates corrective actions with the CEO and contract Clinical Research Manager.
