BMS Immuno-Oncology Small Molecule Discovery is seeking a highly motivated in vivo Pharmacologist to play a key contributing role in advancing an innovative IO drug discovery pipeline. As part of the in vivo Pharmacology group the successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out in vivo efficacy studies in preclinical tumor models to support preclinical drug discovery programs from target identification/validation through IND enabling activities.

The qualified candidate will possess hands on experience with various tumor models, be able to work in a team setting, demonstrate excellent communication skills and effectively multi-task to meet deadlines in a fast-paced drug discovery environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • B.Sc. or M.S. in the Biological Sciences or closely related field with a minimum of 1-3 years' experience, preferably within the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology sector.
  • Hands-on experience with various preclinical tumor models including syngeneic models.
  • Experience with various dosing routes e.g. oral, intra-peritoneal, intra-muscular, and intra-tumoral.
  • Ability to coordinate and execute in vivo studies. Excellent communications skills with ability to effectively communicate both oral and written scientific results.
  • Organized and disciplined about record keeping, attention to details with proficiency in Graph-Pad and Microsoft Office, E. workbook (biobook).
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced drug discovery environment.
  • Willing to split weekend and holiday hours with peers on a rotational basis to support dosing of ongoing in vivo studies.
  • Experience with cell culture (e.g. commonly used tumor cell lines such as MC38 or CT26) and FACS a plus but not a requirement.
