With our lentiviral-based gene therapy and gene editing capabilities, we have built an integrated product platform with broad potential application to severe genetic diseases and T cell-based immunotherapy. Our clinical programs include Lenti-D™, currently in a Phase 2/3 study, called the Starbeam Study, for the treatment of childhood cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy, and LentiGlobin®, currently in three clinical studies: a global Phase 1/2 study, called the Northstar Study, for the treatment of beta-thalassemia major; a single-center Phase 1/2 study in France (HGB-205) for the treatment of beta-thalassemia major or severe sickle cell disease; and a separate U.S. Phase 1 study for the treatment of sickle cell disease (HGB-206). We also have ongoing preclinical CAR T immuno-oncology programs, as well as discovery research programs utilizing megaTAL/homing endonuclease gene editing technologies.

Join bluebird bio's enthusiastic and collaborative team by contributing to the overall success of our novel gene therapy approach. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Sr. Business Analyst who will support our HR business systems including Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management, Greenhouse Recruiting and Onboarding, BetterWorks Goal Management and Learn Share Learning Management. The Sr. Business Analyst will be actively supporting our HCM Cloud Services modules along with these related applications. In this role, you will be responsible for business requirement analysis, writing functional design documents, communicating requirements to technical team members, system testing, issue resolution, and training. This position will be pivotal in supporting technical assessments and implementations of critical and highly visible new technology solutions, and supporting them in the Enterprise both short and long-term.

About the Role
  • Provide production support on day-to-day issues
  • Manage project initiatives and functional enhancements
  • Act as a liaison between business users and internal, external technical team members
  • Submit and manage Oracle Service Requests (SR)'s, manage the change process and document in accordance of System Development Life Cycles and Change Control
  • Support Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reporting and analytics platform and provide standard, ad hoc reports from it
  • Identify process improvements and work with business partners effectively to implement system changes
  • Support and enhance Oracle Applications interfaces integrated with non-Oracle systems

About You
  • Required - Strong communication skills and ability to build positive, professional, and productive business relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Required - 3-5 years of implementation and support experience as a Business Analyst on Oracle Applications R12 at minimum, Oracle Cloud Services preferred
  • Required - 5+ years functional expertise in HCM Core, Benefits, Compensation, Performance, or Absence Management modules
  • Required - Experience supporting any of the following Oracle Cloud Applications modules: HCM Core, Benefits, Compensation, Performance, Absence Management
  • Required - Strong Project Management skills
  • Required - Demonstrate an understanding of SOX and other regulatory related system requirements
  • Preferred - Experience working in a life sciences organization
  • Preferred - Experience with Oracle Workflow and Approvals Management Engine
  • Preferred - Knowledge and experience with BI Publisher
  • Preferred - OBI or OTBI skills
  • Preferred - Experience with higher level object oriented programming languages such as Java and PL/SQL
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in HR, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
  • Hands-on experience helping business users exploit Oracle Cloud or E-business full capabilities to meet the needs of the business.
