The Translational Immunology Department is committed to elucidating the mechanisms of our therapeutics as they transition into human clinical studies and equipping them with biomarkers to aid in their progression through the pipeline. The Translational Immunology Department seeks a Scientist who will be responsible for identifying, developing and executing biomarker assays that can be deployed in early clinical trials to measure pharmacodynamics and disease related changes. The successful candidate will have expertise in biologic science, immunology preferred, as well as a demonstrated understanding of assay feasibility and development with a variety of techniques, including: flow cytometry, ELISA, Western blot, Wes, RNA preparation, qRT-PCR, cell-based assays and genomics/transcriptomics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Independently design, execute, and interpret critical experiments to answer scientific questions.
  • Understand the broad objectives of the project as well as individual role in achieving those objectives, and modify experimental plan when required to respond.
  • Learn, understand and master new experimental techniques, and act as a resource for others.
  • Innovate and implement new experimental protocols.
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in his/her field.
  • Set and meet experimental timelines.
  • Effectively organize and present scientific plans and data.
  • Routinely read and apply relevant scientific literature.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity in the lab.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds and animal care.

Position will be hired based on level of experience.


  • Qualified applicants will have a B.S. and 0-3+ years or M.S. and 0+ years or equivalent in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field.
  • Industry experience working with biomarker assay development in drug discovery research is preferred.
  • Interacts well with diverse groups and maintains strong working relationships with collaborators.
  • Ability to multitask and work within timelines.
  • Effective writer and communicator of research or other regulatory materials
