Position Summary

This position will act as a "Product Champion" for Onivyde, supporting the goals as set by the Vice President for Marketing - Onivyde. The incumbent is the primary point of contact for Onivyde peer to peer initiatives and conferences, from inception to final execution. S/he provides leadership to internal and external stakeholders as the driving force in the process of developing, creating and executing high priority commercial initiatives related to the product. The Asst. Director works with creative agencies, the Promotional Review Committee, and other partners.

The candidate will possess analytical acumen, with the ability to synthesize and communicate various data and research outputs to formulate marketing recommendations and inform business strategy.

The Asst. Director will play a lead role across functions (including US sales, sales training, Business Analytics, Value and Access) providing clear guidance on what is needed to be successful.

Essential Functions
  • Support all annual commercial objectives associated with Onivyde. This includes sales, margin targets, and other key performance indicators.
  • Under the direction of the Vice President, participate in the development of marketing plans, strategies and tactics.
  • Facilitate cross functional goals including sales, med affairs, managed care, reimbursement, supply chain, to meet overall brand objectives. Utilize business analytics as appropriate to make decisions to meet overall brand objectives.
  • Anticipate when functional course correction is required and adjust with a sense of urgency.
  • Develop marketing plans to support brand goals (in person and non-personal peer to peer programs)
  • Lead the development of promotional peer to peer concepts focused on primary target audience of prescribing clinicians and supporting health care professional while maintaining an appropriate level of support for pancreatic cancer patients
  • Work closely with appropriate internal and external resources (vendors) to develop and execute appropriate market insights that identify/confirm key business needs.
  • Create and implement messaging and materials that support the brand strategy
  • Support the development and execution of highly effective sales direction and training
  • Ensure measurement marketing program efficacy metrics and ROI
  • Work closely with Medical, MSL's, meeting planning and sales to develop and execute a coordinated, cross-functional plan for achieving company objectives at medical conferences.
  • Work closely with vendors to conceptualize, develop, and execute promotional materials and programs.


  • Bachelors degree from accredited college or university, MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in progressively more responsible areas of Pharmaceutical marketing.
  • Minimum 2 years' Pharmaceutical experience in medical, strategy, and/or manufacturing.
  • Oncology or specialty pharmaceutical market experience required; global commercial experience or Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated thorough working knowledge of buy and bill categories
