The candidate's primary responsibilities will be to develop next-generation analytical technologies and perform testing for the characterization of lentiviral vectors. We are looking for a motivated associate scientist who will work collaboratively across functions to advance understanding of lentiviral vectors, with the ultimate goal to deliver therapies that transform the lives of patients.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • This is a hands-on position requiring the execution of technically complex laboratory experiments.
  • Perform analytical characterization of lentiviral vectors, and support development of new technologies for characterizing lentiviral vectors.
  • Generate, manage, evaluate, and maintain critical data in a highly organized manner.
  • Assist in the generation of technical protocols and reports.
  • Manage laboratory inventory of supplies and reagents.
  • Must be willing to have a flexible schedule based on experimental and company needs.

About you:
  • BS with 2+ years of directly related experience or MS with 0-2 years of experience. Degree emphasis in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • This position requires conducting laboratory experiments, writing and reviewing documentation, and the flexibility to work on multiple projects as needed.
  • Superb organizational and communication skills, a "do-what-it-takes" attitude, and a track record of completing deliverables within specified timelines.
  • Independently motivated, detail oriented, with good problem-solving ability.
  • Experience with cell-based assays highly desirable (mammalian cell culture a plus).
  • Experience executing and troubleshooting molecular biology techniques, including PCR/qPCR, ELISA, BCA/microBCA. Experience with SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting a plus.
