Position Summary

Summary: Responsible for leading the technical and regulatory GxP training for the Rensselaer (IOPS) site, including defining the site training strategy, supporting the learning management system, organizing the GxP learning plans by role and ensuring employees are adequately trained to meet the applicable GxP regulations and Regeneron standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manages training program & training delivery; reviews and develops SOPs pertinent for training system.

• Counsels individual managers and employees to identify learning requirements by designing individual training or development programs.

• Organizes, facilitates and presents training sessions to groups or individuals.

• Assists in and defines and facilitates the nature of contracts with vendors for special training services.

• Oversees the distribution of new employee training.

• Coordinates and works in conjunction with the Sr. Manager who oversees Technical Training in GMP training content and delivery.

• Follows and maintains systems defining the role of the Technical Training Department.

• Assists in providing an employee, manager or regulatory agency the necessary information on training documentation or for regulatory inspections.

• Participates in cross-functional project teams to coordinate and establish training goals.

• Manages and develops team of training specialists.

• Interfaces with e-Learning specialist on department projects and initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proven ability to formulate a compelling vision and develop a strategy with key stakeholders to achieve that vision.

• History of building and maintaining positive relationships both internally and externally.

• Proven ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.

• Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

• Strong business acumen, client-service and results orientation.

• Highly effective in ambiguous environment and able to produce maximum results with little direction and guidance.

• Strong understanding of quality principles in a GMP environment helpful.

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Requires Bachelors/Masters in related field and 7+ years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.

• Previous direct managerial experience is required.
