Position Summary
The Director, Value & Access (V&A) Marketing understands the marketing needs of every V&A segment and produces marketing pieces for V&A and for the Sales teams to support V&A and the Sales teams relative to V&A initiatives. The Director, V&A Marketing collaborates and coordinates between Value & Access and all Brand Marketing Teams to reduce duplication of efforts and to produce these marketing pieces in a streamlined manner.

In partnership with Value and Access Leadership Team, this position is responsible for leading the development of strategies, tactics, and communications that drive awareness of Ipsen with physicians and patients for the five brands (Onivyde, Somatuline Depot (2), Dysport and Increlex), including all needs related to future product launches. The position will be accountable for developing, refining and executing innovative, integrated programs across various channels at the time of launches and beyond to drive sustained brand growth.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Value & Access Marketing and Account Management and will require collaboration with marketing and multiple agencies to ensure strategies and tactics are well integrated across the brand campaign and meet brand priorities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Partner with V&A Leadership to determine marketing resource needs for all V&A groups (Corporate Accounts, National Accounts, Strategic Accounts, Federal Accounts, Trade, Field Reimbursement, Patient Services, Pricing & Contracting) for each current product and new product launch
  • Collaborate with Marketing Brand Units and Sales Leadership to determine marketing resources needs from V&A
  • Design, with V&A Groups and considering Brand priorities, the strategic priorities for V&A pieces (different pieces for V&A use and for field sales use) for each brand
  • Represent the V&A Team on Brand Planning with all Brand Units
  • Work with Marketing and Marketing vendors to review and create pieces aligned with the strategy and to streamline currently used V&A Tools
  • Shepherd resources through the Promotional Review Committee (PRC) process
  • Coordinate production of the pieces and the My Ipsen (ipad application) roll out
  • Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen U.S. staff
  • Lead the creation and management of branded and unbranded electronic & print resources for Value & Access stakeholders
  • Support key branded and unbranded messages across V&A stakeholders
  • Communicate V&A Marketing plan and resources to key internal stakeholders
  • Manage various supporting strategy & advertising agencies
  • Manage V&A Marketing budget
  • Create V & A related direct to consumer/patient materials
  • Support branded and unbranded competitive strategy across all therapeutic areas
  • Lead & execute annual business planning and strategic marketing brand plans, and message refinement/development

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor Degree from accredited college or university


Experience
  • Minimum 7 years Marketing experience with a focus on Value & Access (Market Access) marketing required, Value & Access Account Management experience preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years overall experience in Pharma/Biotech.
  • Previous experience working with agencies on creation of materials a plus.
  • Buy and Bill and Oncology experience is preferred
  • Experience working through the Promotional Review Committee process is preferred
  • Experience working across brands and account teams as well as experience working with compliance and legal is preferred
  • Project management experience, including resource allocation and fiscal management
