Director, U.S. Oncology Payer Marketing
This individual will manage payer marketer(s) and will work closely with Access Sales, Medical, HEOR, Reimbursement, and the broader oncology brand team to optimize patient access to BMS therapies. Based in Princeton Pike, New Jersey, key responsibilities include:
Lead development of payer strategy and execution plans for the upcoming EMPLICITI launch.
Evolve the SPRYCEL contracting strategy to maintain and increase strong open access for the brand.
Manage inline and pipeline I-O indications in Hematology.
Develop brand specific payer resources and act as a liaison with all cross-functional teams to ensure pull-through activities are aligned with brand objectives and priorities.
Collaborate with Sales & Access Learning to prepare material for POA and launch meetings.
Accountable for payer-related communications including serving as brand primary point person for the Account Executives.
Develop internal working partnerships with Worldwide Access, Outcomes Research, Pricing, Advocacy / Policy, and Legal to drive critical decision and ensure proper execution.
Establish relationships with BMS field organization and external leaders to identify healthcare industry trends and insights to inform prioritization of resources. Translate customer learnings into actionable recommendations for business growth.
Lead the market access portion of brand planning. Communicate access-specific strategies to internal business partners for incorporation into brand planning and field tool development.
Candidates should have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively and efficiently drive performance within a matrix organization. 8+ years in pharmaceuticals and several years of marketing and market access experience are preferred.
Experience and knowledge of promotional regulatory processes is key. Additional competencies include Strategic Planning, marketing analytics, Brand Therapeutic Area Knowledge, Customer / Competitive insights, and Seasoned Judgment. Oncology experience strongly preferred.
Candidate must have demonstrated an ability to incorporate knowledge of the market and competitive landscape into brand and commercial strategies. Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently is required.
Must possess a Bachelor's degree and an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
Occasional travel will include Launch Meetings, POAs, customer visits, market research, etc.
