Position Summary

Summary: Responsible for understanding complex business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements and coordinating communication among various business groups and IT. The incumbent will partner with technical teams in the solution definition of Information Technology projects. The majority of projects at Regeneron are COTS software package implementations and integrations with other Regeneron systems. Therefore, an excellent, demonstrable understanding of the process of specifying, identifying and implementing COTS software is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Works closely with IT management and the clients to identify and specify business requirements and processes in diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies and tools.

• Works with a diverse business community to document as-is and to-be business processes.

• Documents clear and testable requirements which describe a system to be implemented.

• Collaborates in the creation, review and approval of validation documents

• Recommends business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

• Participates as a key member of implementation projects, which may include requirements gathering, application design, software configuration, testing, validation and end-user knowledge transfer.

• Helps facilitate clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.

• Evaluates and recommends changes to complex business processes as needed.

• Provides industry best practices and support the change management process.

• Provides functional advice or training to other team members.

• Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

• Provides Project Management for projects as required.

Knowledge and Skills:

• An in-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle required.

• Demonstrated ability to create requirements, design documents, and test scripts.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills ability to anticipate client needs and proposed alternative business solutions a must.

• Demonstrated strong judgment and time management skills.

• Strong customer service focus.

• Knowledge of GMP, 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11 a plus.

Education and Experience:

• BS/BA in related field preferred; may substitute relevant experience for education.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in gathering requirements and business analysis required.

• 2 years' hands-on experience with one or more technology solutions such as: Document management systems, project management systems, laboratory information management systems, learning management systems, electronic batch records, manufacturing execution systems.

• Requires an in-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle

• Experience creating requirements, design documents and test scripts
