Position Summary

The Vice President, Neurology Business Unit will report to the CEO of Ipsen North America and will be a key member of the Senior Leadership team. In this role, the VP, Neurology Business Unit must actively participate in US Leadership Team meetings and lead strategy development around commercializing the Dysport Franchise products in the US marketplace. The Vice President, Neurology Business Unit will oversee the marketing, sales, analytics, and will be a liaison to global franchises, medical affairs functions and Galderma to ensure that the customer is best served by all of these functions.

Responsibilties
Recruit and lead a team in Neurosciences to support inline, future indications and business development for Neurosciences:
  • Manage brand P&L.
  • Exceed annual sales and manage budget to plan
  • Support overall development and implementation of U.S. and global launch plans that leverage best practices in the toxin space to approved medical specialties (i.e. Neurology and PM&R)
  • Direct U.S. Marketing and Sales Team to ensure alignment of marketing and sales strategies
  • Guide and support U.S. tactical plan, with a focus on implementation, measurement, pull-through and accountability
  • Develop and provide reports outlining results compared to key performance metrics/targets
  • Lead the U.S. business development strategy
  • Define and implement U.S. commercial support strategy (co-promote, other)
  • Provide U.S. marketing support for the development and implementation of life-cycle management strategies which maximize the value of the Dysport brand
  • Manage and build cross-functional process and communication in support of the overall business strategy
  • Participate as a member of the, North America Leadership Team, Global Neuroscience Leadership Team and Global Leadership Team
  • Draft and implement personnel leadership development plans
  • Exhibit ethical behavior and operate in a compliant manner

Qualifications
Education

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in business, economics, biological, or medical sciences
  • MBA highly preferred

Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical sales and marketing experience is necessary
  • Relevant recent experience in U.S. neurology and or therapeutic toxin business models
  • Minimum 5 years managing franchise commercial team and a history of overachievement against objectives
  • Proven track record of leading U.S. businesses
  • Demonstrated record of developing commercialization plans, managing priorities and P&L management
  • A thorough knowledge and solid experience base in strategic marketing, reimbursement, and market research relevant to commercializing and launching Neurology products and or botulinum toxins
  • Deep understanding of physician-administered drug logistics, pricing, and channel implications
  • Expert at creating buy-in among cross-functional stakeholders
  • Well-developed leadership skills. Proven ability to grow and develop others.
  • Strong business contacts (ie. personnel and vendors)
  • Global brand, business development and lifecycle management experience
  • Sales or sales management
  • Able to travel minimum 40%
  • Enthusiastic willingness to function as an integral part of the U.S. commercialization team
  • Strong understanding of franchise disclosure laws and a spotless record of ethical conduct within the industry
