Position Summary

This position contributes to the Ipsen Vision to be a global leading biotech company focused on innovation and Specialty Care. The IT TechOps Project Manger realizes the Ipsen ID (Information Technology & Digital) vision to be systematically "one move ahead", and to deliver enterprise solutions as simpler as the digital private ones. He/She is a member of the IT TechOps (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, Purchasing) team responsible of the IT TechOps digitalization (manufacturing 4.0) and data-driven roadmap definition and delivery. He/She manages projects of the IT TechOps roadmap from pre-study (scoping) to post-go live and handover to support team. He/She starts with a focus on project related to EHS and Quality domains.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Extreme Customer-Centricity:
  • Places systematically the customer in the center
  • Adopts a go and see approach
  • Owns & tackles customer paint points and/or irritants

Projects Management:
  • The primary purpose of the project management role is to lead, oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects within scope, quality, time and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management.
  • Primary responsibilities and activities are:
  • Identifies and schedules product deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks.
  • Provides leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confers with project staff to outline work plan.
  • Acts as a coach to junior project managers, executives and other who need assistance and advice regarding project management practices.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and allotment of available departmental resources to various project phases.
  • Analyzes project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects.
  • Reviews/approves work plan of external service provider or consultancy contracted to execute project.
  • Implements project communication plan.
  • Conducts risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Monitors project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the enterprise.
  • Ensures that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
  • Assigns duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel, and modifies schedules or plans as required.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Continuously benchmarks project management performance to identify improvements and achieves higher capability maturity in PPM.


Business Relationship Management:
  • For the EHS and QUALITY domains:
  • Leads the relationship with these functions
  • Works closely with the Business Owners to help optimizing information work flows and brings additional value to the business community supported at the worldwide level.
  • Guarantees transparency to business on project progress, risks and counter measure by implementing regular and formal meetings
  • Proposes innovative solution to the business to ensure optimal agility and best ROI


IT TechOps Roadmap and Innovation:
  • The IT TechOps project manager contributes to the permanent update of the 5 years IT TechOps roadmap based on stakes defined by process owners, existing IS landscape and opportunities related to innovation.


Digital Transformation:
  • Focuses on Cloud, Digital Workspace, Data-driven
  • Embraces & promotes digital mindset: Lean Start-up, Design thinking, Agile methodologies...
  • Lives OneIpsen (leverage, collaborate, and coproduce with our Digital and Big Data teams)


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business information systems (IS), computer science or related field, or equivalent related IT experience.
  • Project Management training and certification desirable (PMP), but not required.


Technical Experience:
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible IT experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving.
  • Or five years with responsibilities in business department and/or IT projects as project owner.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of project management methodology and experience or familiarity with major defined PM approaches (for example, PMI, Prince II or agile
  • Knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources

Essential Functions - Physical Position Requirements: Machines and/or Equipment Used
  • PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Regularly required to operate standard office equipment (computer, photocopy machine, etc.)
  • Ability to work on a computer up to 7 hours a day/ Close vision required for computer usage.
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.
  • Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 25 pounds.
