Position Summary

The P2P Senior Analyst will operate in the North America Shared Finance Service Center and will support and maintain standardized purchase to pay business processes across North America. This role will work within the framework of the company policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure the timely performance of each task in the P2P process. The P2P Senior Analyst is responsible for new supplier creation, addressing vendor inquiries and performing follow-up and issue resolution in the P2P process. This role is responsible for developing and delivering training to the end user community. They will partner and will actively work within the P2P process to make process improvements.

Essential Functions
  • Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provide P2P process subject matter expertise and enforce standardization in the P2P process across North America
  • Identify actions to continuously improve performance of the end-to-end process via data and problem-solving in areas relevant to primary duties. This may include bench-marking activities
  • Pro-actively engage with customers of the process (internal and external) to gain feedback and determine levels of customer satisfaction
  • Create and maintain work instructions, procedures and checklists relating to primary duties
  • Identify areas for Cost-savings
  • Manage end-user requests for new Supplier set-ups. Follow-up to ensure timely creation on any required information
  • Address vendor inquiries by receiving, logging and resolving telephone and e-mail inquiries. Seek support from other Ipsen employees as required, while maintaining ownership of the inquiry
  • Communication and coordination with other departments (senior management and directors) on various financial issues
  • Work with FP&A on monthly variances to budget, contract administration, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Develop, maintain and deliver P2P training material to new personnel, requisitioners and budget holders
  • Advise on SAP access request process and roles
  • Produce supporting data to create Key Performance Indicators and other data relating to the P2P Process.
  • Provide SAP expertise in the primary areas of responsibility.
  • Work with SAP competency teams to address technical issues
  • Support in the testing of new functionality or upgrades
  • Represent the P2P process in any group-wide initiatives
  • Ad hoc work and projects as required
  • Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen U.S. staff


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business related field highly preferred

Experience
  • 5+ years of equivalent professional experience


Core Competencies/Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP, especially MM or FI module expertise
  • Continuous Improvement Experience (e.g. creation of process maps, SOP's, problem-solving techniques)
  • Customer Service expertise
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint competency
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information to various levels of an organization
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate workload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
