The Senior Manager, Record to Report Sub Process will provide support to the Record to Report (RTR) Global Process Lead in the sub process areas of Accounting, Treasury and Tax as AbbVie moves to standardized global processes supported by one ERP system (SAP).

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the identification of process improvement opportunities in the RTR process area.
  • Drive completion and update of SAP Process Design Documents (PDD) and Business Processes Desktop Procedures (DTP) documentation.
  • Participate in End to End Testing and User Acceptance Training (UAT).
  • Provide guidance to the training organization for the RTR process area.
  • Lead prioritization of RTR ERP enhancement requests and support tickets with SAP technical team, Shared Services Organization (AFS), Business Process Outsourcer, Centers of Excellence and Affiliates.
  • Learns, fast, grasps the "essence" and can change the course quickly where indicated. Raises the bar and is never satisfied with the status quo.

Basic:

  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting. MBA/CPA preferred.
  • 8 plus years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience.
  • Previous SAP RTR experience. Experience in leading financial month-end close, forecasting, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A). Previous internal audit and/or SOX compliance experience preferred.
  • The ability to interact with and support senior level management and to partner effectively and independently in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to drive, influence and manage change. Proven project management expertise. Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, planning and decision making skills and ability to work independently. A highly motivated self-starter who can translate broad directions into high quality analytical output.
  • Extensive interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a high energy level. Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance.
