Summary:

The Molecular Biology in the Therapeutic Proteins Department seeks an individual with experience in molecular biology to generate reagents to support protein production and assay development. An ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn/implement new techniques to improve process, and enthusiastic about contributing to drug development in a fast-paced team environment.

Duties:

Develop DNA reagents using molecular biology: 100%

• Perform molecular biology techniques for cloning reagents into various expression vectors

• Perform transient transfection and Western blot analysis to assess protein expression

• Perform quality control analysis - Sequence analysis using software packages such as Macvector and Sequencher.

• Maintain meticulous records and keep up databases

Requirements:

• Molecular biological techniques such PCR, seamless cloning (Gibson assembly, Infusion), miniprep, etc.

• Experience in cell culture and western blotting assays.

• Strong organization and time-management skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and sequence analysis tools (Macvector, Sequencher) and web-based database tools such as NCBI, EMBL, etc.

• Comfortable in a fast paced, high-throughput environment.

B.S. or M.S in biology or related field with a minimum of 1year of molecular biology lab experience is required.
