The immuno-oncology discovery at Bristol-Myers Squibb is seeking a highly motivated research scientist to join a group of researchers in executing research aiming to identify and characterize novel therapeutic targets for cancer immunotherapy. In particular, this position involves leading efforts in the investigation of patient samples. The candidate will participate in phenotypic characterization of the tumor microenvironment through flow cytometry as well as functional responses through organotypic cultures.


Investigate the tumor micro-environments using techniques such as flow cytometry. Process and sort tumor cell populations for RNA analysis Assay development involving organotypic cultures Present research findings to interdisciplinary teams. Coordinate requirements from different groups Communicate with vendors and coordinate sample collection. Write detailed protocols and maintain appropriate documentation.

Qualification Requirements:

Ph.D. in immunology or related field and at least of two years post doctorate experience Ability to work in a team environment as well as communicate and coordinate efforts between multiple groups and vendors. Experience with tissue culture techniques, preferably with hematopoietic/immune cells and cell lines. Flow cytometry experience (FACS) ideally with the ability to perform multi-parameter analysis as well as cell sorting.
