This role will support creation and execution price strategies, and monitoring of global pricing activities in immunology products within the AbbVie portfolio and review price requests from global affiliates to provide recommendations to the Director of Strategic Pricing & Analytics.
This role relies heavily on strong analytical skills, as they provide analysis and technical support for pricing initiatives that include setting list and net selling prices for immunology products, anticipate price action implication to global markets based on international reference price rules, and assess price and contracting options to optimize reimbursement and access.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assist HUMIRA LOE pricing guidance development and execution, monitor BSx pricing actions and contract & tendering outcomes across market to identify key success factors and analyze competitor behavior, measure pricing actions against KPI to ensure success of pricing strategy and ensure best practice and transparency
  • Support pricing strategy based on value, access and competitive landscape for immunology products on market, pipeline indications for marketed products, and pipeline assets
  • Assist international affiliate price approvals and provide analytic support to rationalize price and volume with financial implication
  • Anticipate competitor pricing actions and its implication to access and market dynamics
  • Monitor contracting, tender and innovative pricing deals in place and anticipate implications to AbbVie immunology portfolio
  • Understand and articulate the impact of the pricing strategy on the financial forecast
  • Support development and execution of pricing strategies for additional brand(s)/asset(s) in scope
  • Monitor and analyze competitor pricing and reimbursement landscape to benchmark AbbVie products in the immunology treatment space, anticipate market pricing trends to validate pricing strategies
  • Develop pricing/financial models to support business decisions for pricing, create and monitor KPIs for measuring the effectiveness of pricing agreements and previous price approvals
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and implement pricing strategies, align with stakeholders within the organization including GMAP TA lead, Area and affiliate market access and pricing, as well as global marketing and finance
  • Demonstrate appropriate level of leadership experience to lead and influence, perform with high levels of competence, confidence and credibility.
  • Work independently with limited to no direct supervision and manage workload to meet critical deadlines under challenging time constraints
  • Develop and communicate strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA, MPH, or other relevant professional degree preferred
  • Preferred candidate - management consulting & 2-3 years within industry

  • Ability to understand data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions
  • Ability to understand the organization's strategy and apply to product pricing strategies
  • Strong curiosity towards the evolving market and pricing trends
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing and market access
  • Knowledge of financial planning process
  • Familiar with databases and strong excel skills
  • Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication; excellent presentation skills both orally and through PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills.
