This position, Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Execution - Business Technology Solutions (BTS), will afford you the opportunity to prove your leadership skills focused on the areas of Transportation, Distribution, and the emerging Digital and Visibility areas across our Supply Chain Platforms. BTS is Abbvie's information technology organization.
The Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Execution - BTS will be responsible for aligning technology solutions to business strategies by working with our business leaders in the Logistics areas. The individual is responsible for all Business Relationship Management activities, Logistics Systems, and Supply Chain Execution Technologies.

Key Responsibilities Includes:

  • Experienced leader in developing and aligning talent across the technology (BTS) organization. Transformation & Teamwork are keys as Supply Chain moves into a digital age.
  • Implements Transportation, Distribution, and general Logistics platforms. Example platform models include - Cloud, Hosted, SAAS, and packaged business/technology services - distribution or transportation technologies and management as a service.
  • Aligns and leads with functional counterparts and other BTS resources to help ensure demand management and prioritization, architecture alignment, vendor management, security management, master data management, knowledge management, communications management and disaster recovery.
  • Develops strong business relationships and demonstrates business process knowledge expertise in logistics.
  • Prepares system development cost estimates, budgets, and schedules. Prepares and presents project proposals to management and business partner departments for assigned area.
  • Manages team of employees and external consulting resources - capital & expense budgetary responsibilities
  • Partners with IT, business leaders, software vendors for the management of overall technical design, development, architecture and deployment
  • Ensures appropriate integration between internal and required external entities (distributors/3P's/Transport providers)
  • Manages relationships between clients and other BTS organizations to assure effective communication between the groups is occurring. Brokers services within BTS community on behalf of customers; coordinates portfolio of solutions, and identifies interdependencies.
  • Allies with other BTS functional areas to remain current on project status, and inform functional clients of progress; conversely, keeps BTS managers aware of user issues and resolves conflicts.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in software engineering, business, information systems, or a discipline closely related to Supply Chain Execution
  • 8-10 years of overall experience, including five years technology management experience; experience should also include project/program management and systems consulting,
  • Employee development and transformational leadership experiences - your personal brand should reflect these leadership characteristics
  • Thought leadership across digital supply chain concepts
  • Experience delivering Enterprise Resource Planning Systems and the ecosystem with which they operate
  • Previous experience implementing Transportation, Distribution, and general Logistics platforms.
  • Experience in other Supply Chain technology areas that are applicable to Logistics is welcome
  • Excellent communications skills to support a functionally and geographically diverse organization
