Join bluebird bio's enthusiastic and collaborative team by contributing to the overall success of our novel cellular therapy approach to oncology. This position reports in to the VP Commercial Oncology and will be responsible the US brand strategy and marketing execution for our BCMA CAR T product, our first oncology commercial launch, in partnership with Celgene.

This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of gene and cell therapy, defining and executing innovative and patient centric solutions delivering the first BCMA CAR T therapy for Multiple Myeloma patients.

About the Role:
  • Contribute to the US strategic and tactical plan in collaboration with the bluebird and Celgene partners.
  • Work seamlessly with the BCMA development team on overall asset strategy and execution driving well informed cross matrix decisions and plans.
  • Serve as bluebird lead in the development of disease and brand communication strategies
  • Effectively and efficiently manage BCMA brand budgets
  • Continuously monitor competitive environment incorporating proactive and reactive strategies into brand execution
  • Ensure alignment of brand strategy and execution across functions, share learnings to create and maintain a successful team orientation
  • Work with, and represent bbb to, external partners, industry groups, physicians and patient stakeholders
  • Continually source innovative answers to realize exceptional experience for physicians, patients and families with Multiple Myeloma

About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree (MBA preferred) with 7+ years' experience in biotech/pharma with a track record demonstrating accountability, sense of urgency and cross functional leadership. Oncology experience and launch experience necessary
  • Knowledge, experience and proven track record of using deep customer insight to deliver innovative patient and physician centric business solutions and facilitate good program, brand and company level decisions
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical, communication and project management skills to effectively translate ideas and insights into actionable plans
  • Demonstrated ability to create clear commercial strategies in oncology or rare diseases and work across functions to facilitate seamless execution
  • Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across multiple functions
