Position Summary

Summary: Oversees the laboratory quality control testing and review of in-process, stability, and final drug products and results.

**This is 1st shift Tues-Sat schedule**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Coordinates with members of Manufacturing, and Process Sciences to provide analytical support.

• Supervises QC Analysts and contractors, distributes work load, and monitors progress.

• Supervises and reviews product testing.

• Reviews test reports.

• Ensures QC Analysts and contractors receive proper training.

• Attends meetings to keep informed of manufacturing priorities.

• Ensures that safety standards are maintained.

• Ensures compliance with applicable cGMP regulations and SOPs.

• Investigates atypical test results as necessary.

• Performs personnel management functions including time sheet submissions, scheduling of vacations, personnel development, and performance evaluations.

• General quality control laboratory experience (chemistry/biochemistry including HPLC and/or wet chemistry) and cGMP documentation/compliance skills required.
Education and Experience:

• Requires BS/BA in Life Sciences or related field, MS preferred, with minimum of 5 years of progressive, relevant experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.

• Supervisory/leadership experience required.
