Position Summary

Summary:

Work closely with the study teams to develop accurate and timely investigator site per subject cost estimates based on study design and schedule of events through the utilization of a fair market value

Duties:

• Utilize a fair market value tool (GrantsManager) to develop per subject cost estimates

• Engage with the study teams from early planning through budget approval and changes in scope to ensure the most appropriate per subject cost is provided across all possible locations

• Utilize the per subject cost output along with the protocol design and operational approach to determine the overall study grant cost

• Develop and present scenarios to the study teams based on different options presented by the study team

• Use historical information and experience to provide the impact of various changes in specifications based on the probability of the specifications changing from early to final estimates

• Understand the nuances between early and final estimates. Utilize study specification, GrantsManager and other data sources to generate appropriate estimates and scenarios based on study status

• Develop and enhance site budget development processes

• Stay abreast of changes in industry standards and FMV

• Address changes to study scope to ensure timely contract amendment and implementation

• As a member of cross-functional study teams, lead appropriate agenda topics of the team meeting and provide guidance to line functions

• Oversee relationship with Medidata.

• Interact with internal customers; prioritize assignments.

• Responsible for making timely decisions & direction of outcomes.

Requirements:

• May implement contracting process improvements within the contracting team

• Identify new best practices and contribute to continuous improvement for developing site budgets

• Strong knowledge of site budgeting and FMV practices

• Comfortable leading cross functional teams of peers (internal/external customers)

• Is a functional subject matter expert

Bachelor's degree.

• Minimum of 8 years' experience
Master's Degree/JD

• Minimum 3 years' experience
