We are seeking a Principal Scientist to join Adanate, an immune-oncology program based within COI Pharmaceuticals Inc. The research program is dedicated towards the production and identification of antibodies that bind to and interfere with cell surface receptors involved in immune suppression. By ‘taking the brakes off’ the immune system we hope that the molecules generated in this project will lead to a new class of drugs for the treatment of cancer.

In this role you will develop cell based and functional assays for ongoing research and development activities at Adanate. The successful individual will apply deep understanding of human immune system function to develop assays that support the characterization, identification and development of functional antibodies consistent with Adanate program goals.

The applicant must have extensive experience handling primary human PBMCs, cell subset isolation, macrophage and dendritic cell differentiation and a working knowledge of immunologic assays including MLRs, T cell proliferation, NK cell assays, cytotoxicity assays and flow cytometry. Applicant will also have in vitro and in vivo experience using tumor cell lines, ideally in an immune-oncology tumor setting.

To meet the responsibilities of the role the applicant will demonstrate an ability to plan, design and execute complex experimental procedures in a timely and goal-oriented manner to deliver impactful results. The applicant will also apply excellent record keeping and time management skills to meet the demands of a dynamic research environment and have a proven ability to present data in a timely, clear and concise manner.
