Summary:

The Associate Director, Tax Planning is the primary tax technical and quantitative support for domestic and international tax planning strategies that are aligned with the Company's business strategy and that optimize the Company's cash and effective tax rates. Key responsibilities are technical analysis and financial modeling of tax planning projects, business development deals, international expansions, restructurings and transfer pricing scenarios. This position will also be the lead for U.S. international reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities:

The role will report to the Senior Director of Tax Planning and will work in coordination with the Executive Director of Tax Operations and the Director of Transfer Pricing. This role will also work with cross-functional business partners in finance and other areas of the Company.

• Analyze, model and implement tax planning strategies (International, Federal, and State) developed by and/or with the Senior Director, Tax Planning, including modeling the impact of proposed planning and transfer pricing scenarios on the Company's worldwide tax provision.
• Research effects of international restructurings, expansions and business development transactions, and present findings to Senior Director, Tax Planning and/or the Tax Leadership Team.
• Lead Subpart F, E&P, tax pools, and foreign tax credit calculations.
• Proactively identify opportunities to manage cash and effective tax rates, present same to Senior Director, Tax Planning and/or the Tax Leadership Team.
• Primarily responsible for review of U.S. International reporting and compliance obligations (Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, disclosure statements, Form 1120F etc.)
• Drive process improvements and technology to facilitate streamlining and automation of recurring calculations
• Review and document technical assessment of Uncertain Tax Positions, including preparation and/or review of memorandum.
• Provide technical tax support to federal, state, and international controversy

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a demonstrated capability to prepare and present oral and written communications in a well-organized and compelling manner to senior management.

• Superior knowledge of U.S. international tax rules.

• Strong federal, state and local income tax experience.

• Able to manage multiple tasks and organizations, and be able to adapt quickly to changing business and strategic priorities.

• Collaborative and interactive in style and action; this position is expected to conduct outreach with various business units to achieve success.

• Highly organized and detail oriented.

• Proactive and hands-on.

• Results-oriented with a strong work ethic.

• Have high personal values and ethical standards.

• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Required Licenses & Certificates:

Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Candidate must have an advanced degree (Masters in Taxation or Accounting, or JD and/orLLM)

Minimum Years of Experience:

Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of corporate tax experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, major law firm and/or large multinational tax department.
