Summary: The Senior Manager Supply Chain - Materials Planning is responsible for ensuring supply chain efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the demands of rapidly growing production activity by providing leadership and direction for materials planning. This position establishes standards and practices for a model supply chain, including developing policies, procedures, and techniques that are consistent with the strategic IOPS direction and sound principles of supply chain management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manage and oversee all materials planning activities including inventory and supply planning for raw materials and components as well as materials management directing the flow of these materials through various IOPS and 3PL warehouse locations.

• Create and maintain a dashboard of KPIs reflecting plan/process effectiveness and drive positive results. Complete root cause analysis and close any gaps between plan and performance through appropriate countermeasures.

• Assist in development and refinement of IOPS surety of supply strategy supporting significant year over year growth.

• Deploy and maintain operational tactics supporting execution of IOPS surety of supply strategy in a quantitative, fact-based manner and aligned with varying levels of supply risk and patterns of demand.

• Proactively identify potential business issues and/or supply constraints, develop risk mitigation plans and other countermeasures as required.

• Actively lead continuous improvement efforts across material planning processes by applying structured A3 methodology.

• Maintain appropriate material planning organizational design and staffing requirements.

• Provide required feedback and support to other IOPS processes such as Sales & Operations Planning, QA Raw Material Release, and Warehousing & Logistics.

• Provide required guidance and support to technology and infrastructure activities related to material planning and the broader supply chain.

• Function as a subject matter expert in supply chain best practices and quantitative inventory and supply planning methods.

• Coach and mentor associates, helping develop skills required for advancement.

• Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics.

• Travel may be required, Education and Experience:

• Position requires BS in business, engineering, or scientific discipline with a minimum of 8 years related experience including 6 or more years of management responsibility.

• MS/MBA preferred with a minimum of 7 years related experience including 5 or more years of management responsibility.

• APICS, ISM or ASQ professional certification strongly preferred, CPIM, CSCP, CPSM or CSSBB.

• Prior cGMP regulated experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry a plus.
