We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated Scientist to join our Bioassay team. We develop innovative bioassays to screen and characterize monoclonal and bispecific antibodies with the goal of discovering novel therapeutic agents. Our team supports a wide range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, neuroscience, and metabolism. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of antibody internalization and intracellular trafficking, as well as signal transduction pathways. In addition, experience with primary cell-based functional assays is preferred. The candidate must be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and be able to conduct multiple experiments in parallel.

1. Develop cell-based functional assays for screening of antibodies for internalization, receptor degradation, and functional receptor-ligand blockade
2. Design and develop functional cell-based screening assays for bispecific antibodies
3. Generate engineered cell lines via transfection or viral transduction, characterize cell surface expression by flow cytometry
4. Perform a variety of assays including high content screening, immunoblotting, in-cell westerns, flow cytometry
5. Characterize antibodies in primary cell-based assays to evaluate effector function, cytokine release and proliferation
6. Isolate PBMC and immune cell subsets from human blood samples; characterize cell surface expression by multicolor flow cytometry
7. Analyze data, trouble-shoot experiments, prepare summary slides and present to cross-functional teams

This position requires a minimum of a PhD degree with 0-4 years post-graduate experience and a strong background in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related field.

Required: cell line engineering, functional cell-based assay development, and flow cytometry

Preferred: isolation of human immune cells for primary cell-based assays, multi-color flow cytometry

Level will be commensurate with experience.
