Operations Finance is a global and dynamic organization going through a period of rapid change driven by internal and corporate initiatives. The Senior Financial Analyst will support Financial Reporting and Special Projects. This position has high visibility within Operations and other business organizations. Successful candidates will have high performance track records and the ability to work with ambiguity and in a matrix organization. This position interacts with various groups within AbbVie requiring excellent communication skills and strong inter-personal skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare monthly P&L review package for VP
  • Prepare Balance Sheet monthly schedules and coordinate quarterly review with Corp Controller and VP of Accounting
  • Prepare monthly schedules for sales by country, DSO and DOH
  • Lead FP&A (Plan, Update, LBE) and Reporting for specified charges to Corporate
  • Assist with maintaining and coordinating Master Data changes for Global Operations, working with FP&A team, other Ops Finance support and Corporate
  • Assists with Accounting Forum preparation
  • Special Projects/Ad Hoc Requests: (example, not a comprehensive list)
  • Assist in developing and testing new or modified report formats
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system relates issues
  • Review journal entry quality and provide feedback/training

Basic:

  • Bachelor's Degree, in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Working knowledge of AbbVie's financial policies (CFMs) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to change to achieve required timelines
  • Proficient in business applications, TM1, SAP and HFM
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Initiative and ability to work in team environment
Preferred:

  • Previous FP&A roles in pharmaceutical/healthcare manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Previous Cost Accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
