Position Summary:

Nektar currently has an opening for a highly motivated intern within Research Biology (In Vitro) group.


The project will the Summer Intern will be working on will include determining optimal protease digestion conditions for mapping peptides of Nektar therapeutic proteins. Techniques would include protease digestion, optimization of reaction conditions, SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC separation of peptides.


At a minimum, applicants should have completed their sophomore year of college. Required course work includes at least 2 years or more of biology and/or chemistry or related area including general biology/chemistry and advanced level courses with course laboratory experience. Must have a demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles. Good oral and written communication skills are required. Good computer and documentation skills are essential. Must be well organized and willing to work as part of a team. Eager to learn and working collaboratively are required for this position.

This is a paid internship opportunity, however, there is no relocation offered.
