The Supply Channel Specialist for high level monitoring of orders, either for allocation or fulfillment. The scope can include all domestic finished goods, domestic bulk API, international bulk API, contract manufacturing, international DX, or international DD orders. The specialist must engage with US or VLOG planners, commercial teams, product specialists, warehouse personnel, and other US or VLOG customer service personnel

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an advocate and primary liaison between US CS and any of the following: Supply Chain Operations, affiliates, USDO, planning, demand planning, commercial operations including sales representatives, pricing, accounts receivable, finance, freight forwarders, transportation, DEA, and both internal and external auditors.
  • Must be able to compile and analyze historical data. Must be able to compile and issue reports for distribution to through the VP level of the organization. Provide extensive reports to planning, finance, management, and/or freight forwarders to monitor and perform root cause analysis for financial activities, inventory control, and KPIs.
  • Must be able to enter orders into SAP, including STO, No Charge, or Sales Orders. Must have demonstrated the ability to follow through on such orders to delivery create, shipment fulfillment, and order delivery. Must be able to track and trend issues with availability of supply and utilize Vivaldi for documentation of order delivery issues.
  • Must understand the importance of managing expiry dated product to minimize the loss of product due to outdating. Failure to do so can result in loss of revenue to the company.
  • Meet or exceed department standards relative to performance metrics. Establish and maintain documentation and incorporate new procedures into existing job aids, tools, etc. Oversee and administer the monitoring and updating of the customer support content of the online resource manual for the team. Communicate updates to key business partners to ensure compliance and adhere to AbbVie policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate expertise and serve as the subject matter expert during compliance audits relevant to business segments by providing and interpreting business data. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by completing training requirements and offsite visits to meet relevant stakeholders. Maintains open communications with management in regards to audit findings and proposes plan of action for resolution.
  • Keep constant contact with US or VLOG customer service personnel, commercial planning or supply chain planners to track order and product availability. Responsible for monitoring inventory and product allocation for commercial order fulfillment.
  • Responsible for preparing credit/debit memos when required. Working closely with commercial operations, pricing, accounts receivable, and US CS management.
  • Due to the complexity of each customer, the ability to work independently is required. Minimum supervision required for direct execution of job; has authority, responsibility, and accountability, of the day to day execution of duties. Demonstrates the ability to solve problems and make decisions. Offers appropriate solutions based on the situation.
  • Coordinates new product launch and product conversions. Self-driven to develop and implement projects, and communicate progress as well as outcomes. Participates in pilots and provides feedback and recommendations. Willingly takes on additional responsibilities.
Basic:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience), plus 2-3 years related work experience. Prefer: Distribution, Operations, Customer Service, or Transportation.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required to communicate with AbbVie customers, commercial teams, and intracompany support organizations around the world. Must maintain a positive service image at all times even when dealing with challenging issues and unsatisfied customers (internal and external).
  • Proven problem solving skills and analytical skills that include math, excel, and relationship building and maintenance.
  • Must maintain a high degree of accuracy when creating numbers and varied documents. Must demonstrate overall understanding of processes, and agility to apply processes to diverse order types, allocation issues, customer or planning requests, different product types.
  • Failure to accurately document or process orders could result in loss of revenue, loss of product, fines, or product seizure.
  • Ability to understand the implications of new information. Must possess critical and strategic thinking kills in order to draw conclusions which result in solutions to potential issues.
  • Initiative and innovative skills are required to identify and implement business process improvements.
  • Excellent organization and follow up skills are critical to ensure timely distribution of product and communication across the supply chain.
