Research Associate - Genotyping


We are looking for a motivated and energetic candidate to join the Transgenic group. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the genotyping of genetically modified mice onsite.

  • Perform and record genotyping results.
  • Responsible for designing new genotyping assays and coordinating genotyping offsite.
  • Report and present data to support the validation of new genotyping assays.
  • Excellent written and oral skills are necessary
  • Accomplish goals under project team time lines

  • Bachelor's Degree in biology or a related field and 3-5 years of relevant technical experience required.
  • Familiarity with mouse genetics and recording genotyping results.
  • Experience with genotyping assay development for both RT-PCR and standard PCR assays.
  • Basic molecular biology skills including DNA extraction from tissue samples and DNA gel analysis.
  • Genotyping methods including PCR and real time PCR.
  • Familiarity with automation is preferred.
  • Competency in data organization, e-notebook and database usage are required..
  • Manage projects independently and present results regularly to senior management.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
