Research Associate, Assays Protein Engineering

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic biologist, molecular biologist, immunologist, or biochemist at a Research Associate level to join the Protein Engineering Group. The candidate will be expected to work on a variety of biochemical and functional assays to support protein engineering projects including new technologies and antibody therapeutic leads.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Work at the interface between immunology and protein engineering
• Utilize expertise in biology, immunology, and biochemistry to implement functional and cell-based assays to support technology development, antibody selections, and mechanistic studies
• Perform multi-color FACS and handle cell lines including primary cells
• Implement methodologies to enhance cell-line, antigen, and assay functionalities.
• Apply molecular and cell biology techniques to generate transient and stable cell-lines using various techniques including lentiviral transduction and CRISPR
• Accomplish goals under project team time lines.

• BS degree with 5+ years of industry experience or MS degree with 2+ years of industry experience. The degree should be in Molecular and Cell biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular and Cell Biology, or similar field.
• Experience in cell line and primary cell culture and multicolor FACS analysis
• CRISPR and lentivirus experience desirable
• Extensive experience and knowledge in molecular biology
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary biologics discovery team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
