Provides in-depth technical expertise & direction in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes (e.g. new, enhancements or maintenance), in the preparation of application system specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions.   Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Serve as technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new products, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.
  • Conduct investigation activity/research and give technical advice to the adoption or integration of new technologies and their business impact.
  • Lead in the development of standards and procedures and publish/communicate findings via IOI's, presentations, SOPs, etc.
  • Review, validate & enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning; install, test and upgrade releases and associated products.
  • Evaluate & recommend new software, utilities, and tools.
  • Set the strategy for implementing new technologies.
  • In specialized systems effectively set options to change the way the program works (configuration responsibilities).
  • Accountable for total project scope, budget, completion within budget constraints and schedules completion date. Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control. Post completion audit of project after implementation to verify expected benefits vs. costs, both development and operating. Project success is critical to the continued business success of the corporation.
  • Develop, manage and test code for new enhancements, bug fixes, and customizations
  • Create, execute and oversee execution of development code reviews, unit test cases and test scripts
  • Create and maintain technical documentation: impact analysis, design documents, technical requirements, IT procedures, SIQ (software installation qualification)
  • Develop and support client and internal reporting requirements and systems
  • Support business acceptance testing and system validation activities.
Basic:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer engineering. Equivalent experience is defined as six years combined experience in the above areas.
  • 5-8 years of combined experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer engineering (in addition to equivalent experience listed above, if applicable).

Technical Requirements:

  • At least seven to ten years of development and support experience with industry standard Document Management systems (EMC Documentum V7 with Life Sciences experience strongly desired)
  • Experience with Global Training, Product Labeling, Proof Reading and Scheduling applications is a plus
  • At least seven to ten years of development and support experience with PL/SQL and data migration
  • Experience with SaaS models with interfaces
  • Expertise in EMC Documentum 7 Administration on Oracle.
  • Working knowledge of Webtop, Documentum/D2 4.x platform.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows environments.
  • Expertise in WebLogic and Tomcat Administration
  • Expertise in performing upgrades and analyze and troubleshoot issues that arise during development or testing.
  • Write/update documentation in accordance with software validation life cycle procedures.
  • Maintain support between Documentum and interfacing systems
  • Provide technical knowledge and Documentum expertise to resolve technical issues and implement data and configuration change requests.
  • Technical understanding of Web Services technologies and the SOA technology stack - ESB, UDDI, etc.
  • Ability to work directly and collaboratively with Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Quality Assurance (QA) test teams to identify and troubleshoot issues to final resolution
  • Experience with relational database design and development in a RDBMS such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Application development and technical writing experience
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence and the ability to quickly diagnose and solve technical problems
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize new tools, technologies and techniques
