BS Degree in the biological, health, or information sciences from an accredited college/university combined with 2-4 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or related healthcare industry. Master's Degree in Information Science from an accredited program or international equivalent preferred.
The position is involved in the strategic execution and systems operational aspects of Celgene's Global Knowledge Group (GKG) function. The position is responsible for systems that provide the optimal use of Global Knowledge Group resources and analytics to support the global alignment, cost effectiveness, deployment, and integration of these systems. This role works closely with key cross-functional partners including regional affiliates, Medical Affairs, Business Development, and multiple elements of the R&D organization around the world and provides systems input and expertise in the development of Celgene's Global Knowledge Group strategy.
Provides taxonomy and information system services involving clinical, business and government document databases, literature and all other appropriate resources to support the scientific, regulatory and business needs of Celgene to assigned groups and in support of therapeutic area teams. Responsible for managing and championing the GKG technology and portal strategies including ensuring access to newsletters and other high value business relevant information resources. Leads all SharePoint or portal related projects including the analysis, design, development and deployment of SharePoint solutions which demonstrate best practices. Partners with the GKG Procurement and Information Management teams in the identification of information needs/end user experience and participates in the execution of collection development strategy. Combines internal and external sources of data to paint a clear picture of GKG stakeholders and how they engage with our products and services. Transforms information and analysis into insights to drive continued growth, usage and the value of GKG products to stakeholders. Has familiarity with technology issues and best practices in libraries and knowledge groups, including some combination of experience with integrated library systems, authentication, collections analysis systems, open source development, digital scholarship, machine learning, accessibility and/or user experience design. Shares responsibility for having knowledge and being in compliance with copyright laws, vendor licensing restrictions and (EMA, FDA, PMDA, etc.) restrictions in regard to the provision of scientific and business information. Contributes in the evaluation, choice and acquisition of databases, websites, journals, books, documents, government documents, contracts, library equipment, library software and technology and their vendors. Partners with GKG leadership in implementing process optimization and administration initiatives and in support of a world-class information services function. Serves as subject matter expert on select departmental operational databases and repositories including SharePoint and demonstrates aptitude in the use of project planning/management tools.
Conducts business in accordance with Celgene Values. Completes all assigned SOPs and training within designated timeframe and adheres to job-specific SOPs and work instructions. Attends external meetings and educational seminars to enhance learning and development, industry best practices, and broaden pharmaceutical industry experience.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and capacity to understand and interpret information received from system users
- Demonstrate ability to be flexible, manage change, and multiple urgent projects
- Excellent computer skills and demonstrated knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and project management software
- Self-starter with the ability to proactively suggest new ideas and improvements
