Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Production Assistant, Over-The-Counter Manufacturing - 1st Shift, are to:

  • Assist area supervision on any needed assignments/backup supervisor as needed on day-to-day needs;
  • Act as supervisor in absence of department supervision;
  • Review completed packaging orders/BMR's for accuracy including SAP transactions;
  • Train factory personnel regarding accuracy of department related documentation;
  • Identify department training needs i.e. SAP, etc. as needed and train as needed;
  • Administer department related LMS functions;
  • Maintain department training documentation and ensures compliance;
  • Collaborate with Training Department;
  • Investigate and resolve SAP/system/schedule attainment issues with supporting departments;
  • Support all shifts concerning issues involving inventory adjustments, procedural duties, cycle counts;
  • Maintain department reports, i.e. Shift Reports, Open Reservation Report, Negative Inventory Report, LX03, TR/TO, and Schedule Attainment Report;
  • Backup Administrative Assistant in the packaging/manufacturing office as needed (i.e. Log Books, Bin Tickets, Error Reports, Schedule Attainment Reports, etc;)
  • Lead the creation, editing, and management of digital standard work;
  • Support overtime needs as required for designated weekend periods, etc;
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED;
  • At least three years' experience (or combination of experience) in government regulated production, materials management / warehouse, or inventory control environment;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of staff and management;
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical information in writing;
  • Must have excellent mathematical skills to verify computations on reports and statements, identify errors and inconsistencies, and bring to attention of the Department supervisor/QA;
  • Excellent Personal Computer skills/experience using Microsoft office software;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and take initiative, as well as, to work collaboratively in a team-based environment;
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and balance workload from several supervisors and Director of Manufacturing;
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential records and employee relations;
  • A thorough understanding of US Pharmaceutical Industry Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's,) quality control methods and procedures is preferred, as well as a knowledge of QA auditing BMR techniques.


Preferred qualifications:

  • College background;
  • Previous leadership skills and previous supervisory experience;
  • Previous technical production role and experience;
  • SAP experience;
  • A thorough understanding of US Pharmaceutical Industry Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's,) quality control methods and procedures, as well as a knowledge of QA auditing BMR techniques.
