Director, Value Marketing
This position is a team leader responsible for planning and executing HCEI messaging, tools and initiatives that support all priority products within the BMS portfolio. The role would be very critical in working with the Medical Home Office & the Health Economics team and help driving the assessment of Health Care Economic Information (HCEI) currently available and also drive planning towards data generation efforts for stakeholder relevant parameters. The lead is expected to be able to connect the dots between the current Payer Marketing strategies and create a bridge to either making HCEI relevant for Proactive use and/or planning around the needs of HCEI. Principal stakeholders for this role are amongst the R&D and Commercial organizations in the following groups: HEOR, Home Office Medical, Payer Marketing and Pricing in the US as well as similar groups in Global functions. Position reports to the Executive Director, Strategic Payer Marketing.
Designs customer facing tools such reactive and proactive (FDAMA 114) presentations to enable stakeholders to comprehend the health-related quality of life, economic benefits and budget impact.
Manages review and approval up to and including separate FDAMA 114 review process.
As necessary, develops and manages reviews and approvals for channel or customer specific tools.
Work closely with the Segment marketing team to identify needs of specific stakeholders relevant to the brand/brands and drive HCEI communication efforts.
Maintain focus and understanding of external environment, contact with experts (institutions, regulatory bodies, etc.).
Reviews with relevant Payer Marketing Director and matrix team members, market research and external market shifts to garner insights affecting brands / specific customers.
Advance strategic discussions around commercial data requirements driven by field/customer insight
Build understanding of evolving access environment and drive focus on stakeholder relevant measures around QoL, Economic benefits and Budget Impact
Deliver impactful economic tools or materials to field teams that address customer need around outcomes of interest
The person in role is expected to work with the cross functional team to deliver focus around understanding the Evolving Clinical product profile and bridge that to the emerging Real World Data and/or evidence. The output of this effort would be expected to deliver Tools that hold clinical and economic value for our External Customers/Stakeholders and help us drive our customers to make decisions based on Value
Lead a team of 4-6 highly qualified individuals who are focused on specific therapeutic areas
BA/BS degree or equivalent
10-12+ years of demonstrated high-level technical and professional knowledge and skills in the areas of Marketing or Market Research or Medical Strategy or HEOR in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to effectively & efficiently drive performance within a matrix organization
Experience and knowledge of the principles of marketing, with a strong clinical acumen and relevant access experience
Strong communication skills, the ability to network across a broad internal and external matrix organization, and the skills necessary to form strong, productive partnerships
Ability to work across boundaries, using sophisticated influencing skills to partner with various stakeholders to build consensus and get results
Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to drive execution of key initiatives and meet all deadlines
Strong ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
PharmD and/or a business degree with experience in payer landscape and/or marketing
Experience leading a highly talented and motivated cross-functional teams to accomplish specified goals
Track record of highly ethical and compliant behavior
