Your tasks and responsibilities

Bayer U.S. LLC's Indianola, PA, office seeks a Software Engineer Project Manager to lead and deliver projects.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Software Engineer Project Manager, are to:
  • facilitating software planning and requirements at the project level;
  • providing technical expertise and leading cross functional groups at project level. Also proactively provide consulting and advice to peers and program management;
  • contributing and participating in improving Software Development Lifecycle Process to increase efficiency in project delivery;
  • adhering to medical device software guidelines and regulations and ensure that established processes are followed;
  • initiating and maintaining strategic supplier and partner relationships with key individuals of other organizations requiring skill in persuasion and negotiations of critical issues; and
  • independent analysis and synthesis of solutions for problems, exhibiting creativity, foresight, innovation, and judgement in anticipating and solving problems.

Required Qualifications:
  • bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a software development position.
  • programming languages C, C++, C#, Microsoft frameworks: ASP.Net, WCF, and WPF as well as database and design using SQL, PostgreSQL;
  • developing software using established software processes and methodologies of Agile and Scrum;
  • initiating projects and managing scope and schedule using Microsoft Project tool;
  • developing software utilizing medical image and radiology standards and technologies, i.e., DICOM and HL7;
  • FDA Design controls and software processes guidelines for medical devices, i.e. IEC 62304; and
  • architecture, design, documentation, and implementation of the software applications that runs on medical devices.
