Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Medical Analyst Digital Health Intelligence, are to:

  • Capture non-public information in a compliant way from technology companies in Shanghai, Singapore, Tel Aviv, Silicon Valley, Berlin and beyond;
  • Closely collaborate with internal and external partners;
  • Evaluate those findings in terms of business value, fit for Bayer and feasibility from a medical perspective;
  • Create new ideas and research them;
  • Enable decision making for new business areas that Bayer needs to get into in the digital area;
  • Provide new business model background info and drive adoption of those if data prove them to be revenue generating for Bayer;
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders at VP, CVP and C-level;
  • Gather intelligence to enable creation of strategic partnerships with accelerators, incubators, VCs and organizations that foster innovations in digital health;
  • Engage with the Silicon Valley and San Francisco ecosystem and be the access point for internal stakeholders that need to reach top level executives at technology companies and for external companies and innovators that want to connect with Bayer;
  • Help to specify and later use the toolset for teams to experience and access all five innovation hotspots;
  • Identify M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) opportunities and joint ventures in an early phase.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree
  • Five to ten years of experience working in the medical field and on various TAs;
  • Must employ a broad spectrum of highly developed technical, communication and organization skills that are effective in achieving successful in interacting with a diversified and complex customer base (external and internal) and very sophisticated cutting edge technologies;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and experience and a good network in the digital market space and the startup community;
  • Ability to speak with physicians, clinical study manager, chief medical officers, chief science officers and therefore have a broad interest in the medical space.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial acumen and VC background.
