Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Marketing Larotrectinib, are to:

  • Ensure effective development and implementation of market and commercial strategies for Larotrectinib launch;
  • Lead US launch efforts successfully integrating global strategy into US market to achieve value targets for portfolio and commercialization preparedness Larotrectinib;
  • Partner with CDx marketing lead, global brand head and co-promote partner to develop business strategy for Larotrectinib and CDx partner, and ensure adequate support from both global commercial and development teams to support the needs of the US market;
  • Achieve on or above budget performance for Larotrectinib by establishing the budget and monitoring performance against it in all areas of marketing;
  • Direct, plan and formulate market development and product promotion plans, budgets, programs and objectives for assigned products, prepares sales forecast for use by Product Supply in accurately estimating product requirements and inventory control;
  • Prepares team members to meet the current and future needs of the Business;
  • Regularly communicates with other departments to get customer feedback about how the marketing group can better serve their needs and still yield mutual success;
  • Continuously reinforces the importance of focusing on understanding and meeting external customer needs as the foundation of maintaining competitiveness as an organization;
  • Direct the development of advertising and promotional activities of the outside agencies and services involved in developing and implementing Larotrectinib advertising and promotional products;
  • Understand the therapeutic area market trends and assure the formation of strong promotional alliances to optimize the therapeutic area's broad marketing impact;
  • Lead consolidation and interpretation of market understanding along the value chain providing analytical and strategic leadership to ensure integrated commercial recommendations in the context of broader oncology portfolio strategy;
  • Ensures creation and execution of short-term (one-year) brand plans for the US market.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Experience in Oncology marketing, preferably solid tumor;
  • Successful product launch experience;
  • Demonstrated leadership and career development skills;
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and collaboration capabilities;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team;
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Personal conviction, drive for results and ability to deliver through others;
  • Travel: approximately 25-30% domestic travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.B.A.
  • Minimum 10 years of related pharmaceutical experience in roles of increasing responsibility and scope including established and new product responsibilities (or equivalent combination of experience and education);
  • Understanding and experience with NGS (next generation sequencing) and IHC (immunohistochemistry);
  • Experience with co-promote partnership;
  • Experience marketing a product with a companion diagnostic.
