Responsible for developing and conducting key communication and project management activities that are in alignment with and reinforce the Brand, Digital and Analytics department objectives and goals. The Communication Specialist will serve as a project manager assistant for key initiatives and tactics within the department, including social media and web support, corporate branding support, and supporting key departmental communication tactics and vehicles (meetings, presentations and webinars). The position will collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization and outside vendors on key communication activities coming from the department.
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Brand Marketing, Digital & Analytics Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Assists in the implementation of the corporate brand plan, including production and management of brand tools, resources and materials, such as asset libraries and printed materials
  • Assists in the management and the deployment of brand standards on several applications, and provides administration of Brand Central (tradeshows, stationery and communication documents, promotional materials)
  • Provides publishing support for corporate social media channels, as directed by Social Media Manager
  • Manages social media monitoring and moderation vendor and manages the coordination of responses
  • Manages the compliance and recertification process for the Social Media Inventory, and supports other compliance efforts as needed
  • Supports the publishing development of key departmental communications and assists in the management and distribution of content, including on the internal communications portal for the Corporate Responsibility, Brand and Communications organization
  • Supports the content development and timeline and plan management of the Brand, Digital and Analytics department planning process and strategic roadmap development for 2019
  • Manages KANA (customer service tool) relative to department inquiries
  • Supports the coordination, content development and communication of new employee onboarding across the Corporate Responsibility, Brand and Communications organization
  • Supports Brand, Digital and Analytics department with Material Review processes with Medical, Regulatory, Legal and OEC, as applicable, for marketing communication materials, including brochures, videos and affiliate toolkits
  • Ensures accurate and up-to-date materials are available on relevant internal communications sites as needed
  • Assists in the management of the Brand, Digital and Analytics budget, including providing support for tracking budget expenditures
  • Coordinates and maintains departmental communication files, as assigned, in compliance with corporate and government regulations
  • Follows purchasing and requisition procedures, Corporate Security and Privacy Rules, Corporate Branding Guidelines
  • Looks for opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of team functions
  • Bachelor's degree in communication or related fields
  • Experience with social media and digital communication
  • Proficient and understands Microsoft Office Suite and other business-specific software
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively as part of a team
