The Marketing Manager - Oncology designs, develops, and implements commercial plans and programs needed to establish market leadership in a highly competitive multiple myeloma landscape. The Marketing Manager - Oncology will lead multiple cross-functional teams to ensure brand success in product support and sales execution. Internally, the MM II will foster positive working relationships with the sales force, medical affairs, market research, sales training, regulatory, and other franchise marketing teams. Externally, the MM II will work with various agencies, consultants, physicians, and other marketing partners to successfully drive the business. The Marketing Manager - Oncology does not have direct reports but demonstrates the ability to lead without authority, and work collaboratively with the integrated commercial team and cross-functional brand teams.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead competitive assessment, scenario-planning, and product differentiation
  • Develop positioning, patient type, and source of business
  • Own claims evolution and strategic input into labeling
  • Develop key business questions and objections for market research to generate insights to inform brand strategy
  • Develop external expert engagement strategy and plan
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external experts where appropriate
  • Lead congress planning cross-functionally
  • Develop advisory board strategy and to garner brand insights
  • Own strategy and implementation of sponsorships
  • Develop tactical plan and lead tactical development aligned to the strategic brand plan
  • Perform budget tracking and milestone management
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate promotional programs and activities to achieve product sales objectives
  • Conduct messaging research and create promotional materials
  • Participate in local market and patient immersions to better understand local market drivers and dynamics to see, live, and feel our patients journey.
  • Manage internal/external networks, consultants, and agency partners
  • Manage budget and project management of external partners
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans and recommend changes in strategy or tactics as appropriate
  • Lead and participate in multiple cross-functional teams
  • Work in a collaborative environment with an external marketing partner
  • Be effective in a fast-paced launch environment in a new, and rapidly growing, franchise
  • Communicate up, down, and laterally in an effective manner
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of biopharmaceutical or other equivalent experience required (i.e., device, diagnostics, or CPG)
  • 2-3 years of marketing (brand or product management) experience in a specialty brand it

  • Strong analytics with excellent overall business acumen
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Oncology product experience, preferably Hematologic Cancers - Multiple Myeloma
  • Product launch experience
  • MBA
