Senior Research Associate
The successful applicant will have expertise in performing cell-based assays, ideally B cell and/or T cell ELISpot assays, running ELISAs to determine antibody titers, as well as flow cytometry. Tissue culture and virus culture experience are a plus. Protein purification is also a plus but not required.
This position also requires experience in maintaining laboratory equipment, supplies, and work flow.
Exceptional organization skills are required. Working knowledge of computer programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Prism are required.
The candidate must have a BS in a biology related discipline. The ideal candidate should be capable of working both as part of a group and independently and should be able to efficiently communicate scientific data. Importantly, the candidate must be able to work under pressure and have the flexibility to work unconventional hours.
This position might suit an enthusiastic research associate with at least 3-5 years of experience who is passionate about scientific research and wants to make a difference in Vaxart’s pipeline by conducting to preclinical and clinical sample analysis.
