Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Data Scientist Analyst, are to:

  • Enable scientists to identify data driven answers by building diagnostic and predictive models using first and third party data;
  • Lead design, development and maintenance of analytic models and tools;
  • Process and apply rigorous feature engineering and iterative analytics on data;
  • Extract valuable insights from clinical and electronic health data;
  • Increase efficiencies by using appropriate statistical techniques on available data;
  • Lead to sustainable improvements on how to collect new data and refinement of existing data sources;
  • Advise scientists with regards to patterns and relationships in data to recommend business direction or outcomes;
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues from all functional areas.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6+ Years of experience OR Master's Degree with 4 Years of experience OR PhD in a relevant field OR 7+ years of work experience;
  • Extensive use of machine learning and modeling techniques;
  • Experience in scripting languages, command line usage, algorithms and data structure (like: Spark, Bash, NoSQL, Python, SAS, SPSS, Matlab);
  • Expertise in at least one technology stacks (as shown above) and have the proven ability to execute quickly on ideas by building prototypes;
  • Experience with different software design patterns and produce simple and understandable code;
  • Experienced in algorithms and data structures;
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment and know the tools of the trade;
  • Love to experiment and drive innovation;
  • Strive to be at the top of your game with regards to new and established technologies;
  • Never compromise on quality;
  • Subscribe to the agile principles;
  • Have the courage to take decisions fast and learn from successes and failures;
  • Have the ability to collaborate effectively in an international work environment;
  • Proficient and have a track record in performing statistical analyses of various complexities;
  • Developed insights out of data and discovered hidden patterns in a cloud environment;
  • Demonstrate awareness of relevant statistical measures such as confidence intervals, significance of error measurements, development and evaluation of data sets, etc;
  • Self-reliant and capable of working independently and as member of a team;
  • Logical approach to the solution of problems and good analysis skills.
