Business Insights and Analytics (BIA) enables decision making and insights for BMS stakeholders across business units. BIA Research & Development (R&D) Center for Observational Research (CORDS) Innovation has emphasis in real world data focused on development of novel capabilities internally and externally.

This position will play a central role in enabling the BIA R&D organization through initiative project, program and budget management, and over time may play a role in a variety of key projects across BIA R&D focus areas. With the foreseeable term focused on the Digital Health Initiative and related projects, this position will report to the CORDS Director of Innovation, BIA R&D.

BIA R&D frequently leads key initiatives in strategic, operational and analytic domains, many of which are highly visible, cross functional, complex (multiple work streams), with significant investment, and innovative in nature. This position would provide project management to drive key initiatives forward in alignment with project sponsors and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
  • Is designated partnership liaison/project manager for assigned partnerships
  • Owns partnership by project managing matrix cross functional teams to drive accelerated strategy and implementation of projects
    • Drives partnership projects to completion and communicates end results with stakeholders
    • Owns, develops, and manages project plan and timelines to ensure effective execution, including communicating and coordinating goals, milestones, responsibilities and risks across work streams to achieve goals
    • Owns and manages Sharepoint sites for initiatives and partnerships
    • Drives, documents, and updates clear business needs, goals, scope and timelines with project leaders and stakeholders
    • Manages (and may own) partnership(s) budget/project financials and coordinates and communicates spend, burn rates etc
  • Researches and explores new partnerships as needed
  • Develops communication and change management plans for new solutions, and ensure follow-through until business solutions are in place or long term alternate solutions are identified
  • Digital Health Initiative and related sub-initiative project management
  • Manages partnerships budget and if needed data strategy and CORDS budgets

Position Requirements
  • B.S./B.A. in Business, Communications or related discipline
  • MBA/Master degree or higher education preferred
  • Demonstrated project management knowledge and 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated program management, and experience managing multiple ongoing complex projects in parallel.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross functional project teams towards goals and decisions, including identifying barriers, facilitating solutions and communicating to project sponsors process challenges.
  • 2+ years of finance/budget management experience
  • Excellent handle on Sharepoint site management and developing new Sharepoint site spaces
  • Strong ability to shape presentations with input from multiple stakeholders
  • Strong MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Sharepoint skills
  • Exposure to analytics teams and environments preferred
  • Confidence to communicate with senior BMS and external stakeholders (e.g. partners, vendors).
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical team members, middle level and senior management.
