Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Bayer Crop Science Process/Program Manufacturing Coordinator, are to:

  • Position will be responsible for the development of process management tools in support of manufacturing management. Duties to include; Provide support for Lean Six Sigma project management; Develop, document and publish functional work instructions; Perform Gap analysis; Create and manage adjustments to process documentation; Collaborate and provide feedback, input and recommendations to Site Management to ensure relevant targets and KPI's that provide business value and support mission and objectives; Responsible for the creation, management and distribution of site ISO reporting as required by leadership teams;
  • In support of site Engineering/QA personnel and processes, position acts as site Internal Auditor for the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Position will be required to assume Lead Auditor role after training/certification. Duties to include; Process auditing and Record retention management. Train colleagues on ISO auditing protocol. Update and maintain SOPs using language appropriate for target audience. Lead annual surveillance audit and scheduled re-certification audits;
  • Position will be the HSE site coordinator working with HSE Sites Support Manager for the region. Duties to include: Perform all required weekly/monthly/annual inspection and reporting including hazardous waste, OSHA logs, injury documentation, root cause and corrective actions; Provide oversight and training as needed to external contractors working on site as related to safety. Ensure performance of pre-work hazard analysis and mitigation. Validation of required certifications of external contractors;
  • Act as site liaison with regional sites support manager and support implementation and adherence to HSE policies and revisions. Coordinate reporting requirements for internal, county, state and federal requirements. Lead job hazard assessments.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience working in an ISO Certified Manufacturing Environment;
  • Proficiency in business software applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point;
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, strong interpersonal skills, highly organized and able to work with employees at all levels of the organization;
  • Working understanding of operations/manufacturing systems, to include ERP, Project Management, and Safety and Training tracking.
  • Working understanding and experience (minimum three years' experience) using enterprise wide resources planning (ERP) software;
  • Working understanding and experience (minimum three years' experience) using Documentation Management Systems (three to five years.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with two years relevant experience;
  • Working understanding of operations/manufacturing system SAP;
  • Working understanding and experience using a Documentation Management System, IBM Documentum;
  • Site approved ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Training. The training will provide: Understanding of how to analyze audit results and interpret ISO 9001:2015. The ability to manage the audit process, including opening meetings, auditing, closing meetings, and reporting. Training provider must be Exemplar Global Certified. Successful completion of training is evidenced by issued certificate.
