Position Summary

Summary: Responsible for the direction, organization and management of the warehouse operations in the Rensselaer network, focused on driving a compliant, efficient and effective operation. Assists the Executive Director with the strategic / budgetary planning, along with the development of new initiatives and the implementation of operational improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Drives the vision and strategic direction of the warehouse operations, in alignment with the WHL department goals.
• Develops strong partnerships with other functions throughout the Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) division and within the department.
• Develops and leads an organization that fosters a continuous improvement culture. Supports continuous improvement implementations including new technologies, capital purchases, operational processes, etc.
• Produces metrics and key performance indicators to proactively identify trends and develop action items to drive improvements. Prepares reports for senior management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data on various business factors.
• Manages the warehouse functions to meet all compliance and operational goals.
• Escorts Customers, QA, Financial, Regulatory and/or Safety Auditors while they perform audits of Warehouse &Logistics; ensures timely responses to all audits with corrective and preventative actions.
• Oversees the safety training of all Warehouse Associates involved with the handling or transport of hazardous materials.
• Ensures the identification of courses, selection and training of the Warehouse &Logistics employees on Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to job duties is executed in a compliant manner.
• Ensures ongoing skill development and coaching is provided to improve job performance and future career growth.
• Notifies and works with QA for all compliance issues including deviation reports for any deficiencies in following Standard Operating Procedures and/or cGMP activities.
• Leads and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifies and leads future state operations, providing planning activities to prepare for future Regeneron growth.
Education and Experience:
• Requires BS/BA in related field with 15 years of relevant experience including 10 years management experience, preferably in a material storage facility or manufacturing operations. Will substitute experience for education. Level based on experience.
