Position Summary

Using systems and information management experience, drug development knowledge, and project management skills, the Administrator, R&D Systems & Tools, develops, implements, and manages systems and tools to advance drug development projects through the pipeline. Strong communication and collaboration skills will be leveraged to ensure effective customer engagement and alignment with strategy and design principles defined by the system Owner/Architech and key leaders.
  • Microsoft Project Server Administration:
  • Manages system used to track drug development projects within the enterprise Microsoft Project Server environment. The system is used across multiple departments throughout the organization and provides source data for reporting key program activities and milestones for Regeneron drug development activities.
  • User Engagement:
  • Manages and resolves user needs, including responding to and addressing requests related to the system, managing Active Directory security groups, and running introductory and advanced training sessions for new and experienced users.
  • Process and Data Management:
  • Manages and updates custom fields and data structure to enable sharing of data/metrics. Designs and implements systems and processes to allow users to capture appropriate metadata. Creates and manages a process of promotion from development to test to production environments. Works within the required structure of Business Intelligence (Qlik preferred) data models.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Ensures effective, accurate, appropriate and timely communication across functional areas. Serves as a point of contact for key stakeholders regarding tool functionality and planned updates to the system. Maintains landing page that will include alerts communicating relevant issues and announcements. Works with IT to perform user acceptance testing during server upgrades or security patches.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Proactively identifies issues and provides general guidance to resolve tool and team challenges. Develops solutions to meet productivity and quality goals and objectives. Works with IT to troublshoot general server issues. Helps determine and implement a process and onboarding strategy for new teams.
  • Tracking & Reporting:
  • Develops, maintains and updates key metrics on issues. Provides summaries and lessons learned. Helps build and design reports for teams through the Business Intelligence (Qlik preferred) toolset. Supports presentations to senior management and collaborators.

This position requires a minimum of a BS degree, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including:
  • Hands-on Microsoft Project Server experience
  • Basic programming and information management (e.g., QlikView/Qlik Sense scripting, user-interface design) preferred.
  • Effective in working with and engaging junior through senior-level colleagues, both within and outside the company.
  • Comfortable learning on the fly.
  • Able to handle ambiguity and to work independently to solve problems.
  • Capable in navigating challenges when encountered.
  • Resolves problems and negotiates conflicts with tact, diplomacy and composure.
Level will be commensurate with experience.
