Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position.
As a discipline expert in Office 365 and Digital Workplace Technologies, drives functional performance by designing and implementing business technology solutions aimed at enabling and accelerating delivery of new or improved user productivity technology. Technical leader acting at group, department, and cross‐functional levels. Responsible for developing technical architecture design and solution set AbbVie's Office 365 platform, aligning it with Enterprise Architecture and other user productivity areas Must have technical knowledge of the O365, Unified Communications and Mobility platforms and how to best utilize these technologies to meet business needs Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsible for assessment, planning, design, testing, and technical documentation for enterprise messaging, and collaboration toolsets within Office 365
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for all cloud office solutions within the O365 Productivity suite. Responsible for the research and alignment with Microsoft's Cloud Services roadmap and applies the digital trends to meet AbbVie's user productivity needs
  • Accountable for aligning with the infrastructure support teams on the technical architecture to effectively deliver the Cloud Office solutions in a sustainable and high-performing manner.
  • Communicates directly with Business Technology Solutions colleagues on applying Digital Workplace technologies to solve identified business challenges
  • Develops and achieves discipline strategy in alignment with functional goals and key business objectives. Collaborates with experts across functions to integrate technical objectives into activities associated with accelerated development of new/improved user productivity solutions.
  • Advances technical expertise within function. Proactively demonstrates leadership by advising and sharing knowledge and expert opinions with subordinates, peers, and senior management. Mentors and trains functional colleagues and assesses current and emerging business challenges enabling functional goal achievement.
  • Ensures quality and effectiveness of major project plans within function through sound design, early risk assessments, and implementation of fallback strategies.
  • Sources and identifies emerging Digital Workplace technology trends from multiple internal and external sources and assess relevance. Integrates trends into functional short-term objectives. Advances cross‐discipline technology and direction through generation of data.
  • Applies imagination and innovation by creating, inventing, and implementing new or better approaches, alternatives and breakthrough ideas that are valued by customers within the function.
  • Shapes relationships with affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, and industry peers in accordance with Abbvie Values, Vendor Management Office, and Purchasing to further the mission, vision and goals of the organization.
  • Responsible for adherence to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, and data security.

Basic:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education in a Technology related field with extensive (typically 16 years) of related work;
  • Technical background in healthcare, laboratory diagnostics, medical devices or pharmaceutical companies.
  • Proven ability to innovate with a history of new or improved technology solutions with remarkable impact on company productivity.
  • Interacts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others in technology areas of technology.
