This role will support creation and execution price strategies, and monitoring of global pricing strategies for specialty products within the AbbVie portfolio and review market access/pricing potential for early pipeline assets (including business development targets):

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Support pricing strategy based on value, access and competitive landscape for specialty products on market an in pipeline

· Assist international affiliate price approvals and provide analytic support to rationalize price volume with financial implication

· Anticipate competitor pricing actions and its implication to access scheme and market dynamics

· Ensure consistency of launch prices across geographic area and monitor price implication based on international reference rules

· Monitor contracting, tender and innovative pricing deals in place and anticipate implication on financials

· Conduct assessments for early pipeline (including business development targets) to understand market access and pricing potential

· Develop and communicate strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders

This role relies heavily on strong analytical skills, as they provide analysis and technical support for pricing initiatives that include setting list and net selling prices for new product launches, anticipate price action implication to global markets based on international reference price rules, and assess price and contracting options to optimize reimbursement and access.

The role also has substantial market access strategic responsibility as the manager/senior manager will be the face of GMAP for late life-cycle specialty assets.

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA, MPH, or other relevant professional degree preferred
  • Preferred candidate - management consulting & 2-3 years within industry
  • Ability to understand data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions
  • Ability to understand the organization's strategy and apply to product pricing strategies
  • Strong curiosity towards the evolving market and pricing trends
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing and market access
  • Knowledge of financial planning process
  • Understanding of financial planning process
  • Familiar with databases and strong excel skills
  • Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication; excellent presentation skills both orally and through PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills.
