This position is responsible for overseeing Purchasing & Supplier Management business technology initiatives related to data warehousing, reporting, and data capture. The candidate brokers contracts between BTS and the business, and resolves client and BTS relationship issues. Manages and provides expert advice on, the selection, design, justification, implementation and business use of information systems. Analyzes business processes; elicits, analyzes, and documents business requirements; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing technology components. Translates business requirements into functional requirements; performs data and process modeling; manages change; and leads, coordinates / performs testing, verification, and validation of requirements.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Understand the broad objectives of the project as well as his/her role in achieving those objectives, and modify approach when required.
  • Learn, understand and master new methods and technologies, and act as a resource or mentor for others.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare business, and utilize this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Effectively organize and present project objectives and progress. Contribute to technical publications and presentations.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, and data security.
  • Establish and nourish usable data documentation for both business and technical audiences
  • Investigate existing data sets for areas of efficiency and risk; summarize findings and recommend/implement olutions
  • Support development and serve as liaison to division-wide and enterprise-wide business intelligence strategy initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 8-10 years' work experience, with at least 2 years in similar role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Experience with business intelligence solutions like Qlik, Tableau, Domo, or Spotfire
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work within timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, understand and master new technologies.
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills.
  • Feels empowered to see the right business solution technically implemented - while having little direct authority - through a combination of influence, communication, and technical/domain expertise.
  • A demonstrated ability to listen and understand before jumping to a solution
  • The ability to take ownership of observed problems and situations, and see solutions through to completion in a professional manner
  • The ability to influence team members not under direct control on the direction of assigned work
  • The ability to work through ambiguous situations with little direction
