Position Summary

Trucode Gene Repair, Inc. is a discovery-stage therapeutics company developing an oligonucleotide-based approach to in vivo gene editing to treat and cure patients with genetic diseases. We seek a highly skilled and motivated research associate ready to function in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be a team player and an integral part of a fast-paced, dynamic, and rewarding work environment, where the abilities to effectively communicate and function in a team environment will be essential for success.


  • Planning and hands-on execution of in vivo experiments using mice, ex vivo and in vitro assays
  • Perform molecular biology assays such as DNA/RNA preparation, PCR, ddPCR, and NGS
  • Perform cell biology studies requiring techniques such as cell culture, transfection, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays
  • Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timeline and project alignment to meet company objectives
  • Maintain laboratory and animal facility equipment


Essential Qualifications

  • BS or MS life science degree with relevant experience
  • Experience in rodent handling, compound administration (IV, IP, SC, IM, PO), blood sampling, and tissue harvesting
  • Experience in cell biology, molecular biology and assay development
  • Team player, and a clear communicator
  • Close attention to detail and record keeping
  • Ability to operate independently and readily adapt to change

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience manipulating primary human hematopoietic cells, and tissue homogenization
  • Experience with mammalian gene editing (CRISPR/Cas9, ZFNs, TALENs), or DNA/RNA/protein delivery
  • Experienced with mammalian cell culture, transient transfections, and cell-based assays
  • Hands-on experience with current cell and molecular biology techniques
  • Experience in FACS, cell sorting, ELISA
  • Familiarity with the field of hematopoiesis and hematological diseases
